How far behind are your books?
Connect Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or Zoho Books. We read the bank, the receipts and the open invoices, score the books out of 100 and work out what a catch-up would take. Then we disconnect.
- Read-only access
- Disconnected as soon as the score is ready
- We keep the score, never your login
Connect your books

How it works
Read, score, disconnect.
You connect, read-only
Pick your accounting system and approve on its own page. You choose the company. We ask for read access only.
We read a short list
Bank accounts, entries not yet reconciled, receipts on recent bills, suspense balances and invoices more than 90 days overdue. Nothing else.
We score and disconnect
The score and its figures are saved for 90 days so you can come back to them. The connection is removed straight away.
| Figure | Xero | QuickBooks | Sage | Zoho Books |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bank accounts | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Bank work still to do | Entries not reconciled | Uncleared bank lines | Since the last reconciliation | Feed lines to categorise |
| Receipts attached | Yes | Not shared | Not shared | On bills |
| Suspense balances | Yes | Yes | Not shared | Not shared |
| Invoices and bills 90+ days overdue | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
We never post, edit or delete anything, and we never store your login or a connection token. VAT returns, payroll and personal spending can't be read from these systems, so the score says so instead of guessing.

Connect Xero or QuickBooks in Claude's connectors, choose the company, then paste this prompt. It uses the same rules as the score above.
Score my bookkeeping out of 100 before I ask an accountant to fix it. Use my connected accounting app (Xero, QuickBooks or Vacei Books). Read only: do not create, change, post or delete anything. 1. Gather - Company name, financial year end, and whether I'm VAT registered. - Every bank, card and payment account (PayPal, Stripe, Revolut): statement balance, ledger balance, the number of unreconciled statement lines, and the date of the oldest one. - Uncategorised, suspense or "ask my accountant" balances. - Aged receivables and aged payables: totals, and the amounts over 90 days. - The last VAT period filed, and any open periods. - If there is payroll, whether wages are posted every month. If something isn't available through the connection, say so and ask me for it. Don't guess. 2. Score: start at 100 and deduct - Bank reconciliation, up to 35: 0 if every account is reconciled within the last month, 10 if 1 to 3 months behind, 25 if 3 to 12 months, 35 if over a year. - Documents, up to 12: check 30 payments over EUR 100 for an attached bill or receipt. 0 if 27 or more have one, 4 if 18 to 26, 8 if 12 to 17, 12 if fewer. - Uncategorised or suspense items, up to 10: 1 for every 10 items. - Debtors and creditors, up to 12: if the ledgers don't agree to statements, or more than a quarter is over 90 days. - VAT, up to 15: for late, missing or doubtful returns. - Payroll, up to 8: for months not posted. - Personal spending through the business accounts, up to 7. 3. Estimate the catch-up - Hours = unreconciled lines x minutes per line / 60. Use 1.2 minutes a line where documents are attached and 3.5 where they're missing, scaling in between. - Add 2 hours for each bank account beyond the first, 4 to 10 for VAT corrections, 3 to 8 for debtors and creditors, and 3 to 6 for payroll. 4. Report back - Score X/100 and a one-line verdict. - A table: unreconciled lines, oldest unreconciled date, uncategorised items, debtors over 90 days, creditors over 90 days, estimated hours to fix. - The five fixes that matter most, in order. - Anything you couldn't check. - A three-line summary I can paste into a service request on Vacei (vacei.com).
Once it's caught up, keep it there.
Vacei Books keeps documents, bank, VAT and reports on one ledger built for Malta, and works with your own Claude or ChatGPT. Rather a person did it? A4 Services keeps the books from €24 a month if you're self-employed and from €49 for a company, excluding VAT.
